Service Technician

$52,000 to $67,000 per year

Job Summary

Experienced with all aspects of residential HVAC service and installation. The individual for this position will have excellent mechanical skills, total familiarity with Cape Cod, an excellent driving record, the ability to lift heavy equipment, willingness to cover night and weekend service, and a personable demeanor. Responsibilities and Duties

Arrive at 8:00 a.m., take your assignment, whether service (annual tune-ups to mechanical failure to barbecue grill issues) or installation of gas or oil boilers, furnaces, water heaters, gas logs, gas inserts, gas stoves, split heating and cooling systems, etc. Perform the function in a timely and professional manner. Contact the office upon completion, and receive your next assignment. Work is completed at 4:30 p.m. and overtime pay begins after 40 hours in any given week. You will be assigned a truck (service, oil tank installation, or HVAC) with the appropriate equipment for your job. You will be expected to have your own basic tools, but other specific tools, such as efficiency testers, pipe threaders, pipe cutters, dollies, and stair climbers will be provided to you.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for a candidate with experience in one or more of the following areas: oil burner technician certification, journeyman or master plumber, gas fitter, A/C certifications, or continued education in all fields including Mitsubishi split systems and Rinnai products. You must have a minimum of five years’ experience in the HVAC field and the ability to use use a laptop, tablet or smartphone for servicing equipment requiring code identification, manufacturer service codes, etc.
